The more off-road oriented Suzuki V-Strom 800DE has received a good deal of praise since it was unveiled last year. As expected, aftermarket options for the machine have been growing and SW-Motech has joined the party with a wide range of purpose-built accessories for the fresh model.

Crash Bars

Designed to protect the sides of the engine and the fairing from damage, the crash bars are made from tubular steel with a weather and corrosion-resistant black powder coating. The surface finishing is carried out in the SW-MOTECH Brno plant in the Czech Republic. According to SW-Motech, these accessories fit seamlessly with the lines of the vehicle and offer optimal cornering clearance. Engine Guard

To protect the bike’s engine from damage, SW-Motech says they have developed a skid plate made of robust aluminum alloy with mounts that use original mounting points on the frame to provide additional stability and easy installation. The skid plate is designed to protect the engine, manifold and oil filter. (MSRP: $339)

EVO Footrest Kit

The system consists of rotating elements with firmly interlocking teeth that give you 36 options for positioning. The position of the footrest can be adjusted lower, moved forwards or backwards, as well as adjusted in terms of its angle to suit your individual needs. The bike-specific joint adapters are simply mounted on to the original parts of the footrest holder. (MSRP: $201)

Centerstand

Tipping the scale at 7.3 pounds, SW-Motech says the centerstand is made of robust steel and offers the best angle and ground clearance. The aftermarket part makes it easy to jack up the bike and provides stability — whether for maintenance or repairs on the road. During long downtimes in the winter months, a centerstand helps take the load off your tires as well. (MSRP: $283)

KOBRA HandGuard Kit

Mounted on both the handlebar and the bar end, the aluminum backbone on the KOBRA handguards protect handlebars and the rider in the event of accidents and falls, while the replaceable polypropylene impact-resistant handguard shells provide additional protection against weather, flying rocks and off-road driving. The protective surface of the handguards can be adjusted as needed with optional extensions made of impact-resistant plastic. For increased visibility in traffic, there are optional LED indicators, which can be easily inserted into the recesses of the handguards. (MRSP: $200)

EVO Fog Light Kit

This kit contains all the parts required to mount EVO lights easily and safely on the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE. The bike-specific headlight brackets are attached to the original attachment points and enable optimal positioning of the headlight. Featuring a wide light scatter, the EVO fog lights are water and dustproof in accordance with safety class IP69. (MRSP: $437)

Adventure Rack

According to SW-Motech, more than 15 years of experience producing racks, combined with feedback from customers and test riders, went into the development of this aluminum product. Material thickness, weight and geometry have been optimized for demanding tours and off-road use. The bike-specific attachments guarantee the best fit and easy mounting on original attachment points. The adventure rack offers a large contact surface andnumerous, large lashing eyes provide a secure hold for tail bags. (MRSP: $259)
