Touratech Launches Next-Gen Aventuro Carbon PRO Helmet

The German brand injects more tech and versatility into their latest ADV helmet.

Published on 04.02.2024

First introduced in 2015 and revamped in 2018, the Aventuro Carbon has been Touratech’s high-performance adventure helmet for almost a decade now, offering a lightweight carbon shell, good airflow and the ability to easily transform for street, adventure or dirt duties.

For 2024 Touratech has introduced the third generation of their popular adventure helmet, which the German brand says is a completely new design. Called the Aventuro Carbon PRO, the new lid features more ventilation, improved aerodynamics, better peripheral vision, upgraded liners with a new pad-locking system, an enhanced quick-release peak anchor system, and more.

The Aventuro Carbon PRO can transition between adventure, off-road and street configurations without requiring any tools.

To improve airflow, the Aventuro Carbon PRO now features 8 intake vents and 4 exhaust vents designed to keep efficient cooling around your head with optimized distribution channels in the EPS foam. In addition, Touratech says the dual-function chin vent has been re-designed for finer control of the airflow to the visor and the rider. The helmet’s brow vents have also been updated to increase the cooling airflow plus all controls now feature improved grip and function for operating vents and opening the shield with gloves.

The new lid also features a new peak design that improves aerodynamics by cutting through the wind cleanly with less drag, reducing neck strain and increasing rider comfort. Moreover, the lower peak mounting points have been repositioned above the visor, making it easier to remove the shield for cleaning, installing a pin-lock or upgrading to a tinted visor.

Touratech has also improved the quick-release mechanism for the peak utilizing metal threads for a reliable and secure connection. This allows the peak to be removed without using tools for riders wanting to put the helmet into a different configuration including ‘street mode’ for the best aerodynamics and reduced neck strain.

The new helmet offers improved visibility with expanded peripheral range of view and shape that better accommodates glasses and goggles.

For improved visibility and versatility, the new Carbon PRO offers an expanded peripheral range of view with a 15% wider field of vision and a more spacious shape that better accommodates glasses and goggles.

Moreover, the lid’s interior has also been updated with a redesigned moisture-wicking Coolmax liner that can be washed or replaced to keep the helmet feeling fresh. It’s also equipped with 3-dimensional pre-shaped cheek pads and an F.R.S. emergency removal system. Cheek pads are now locked-in with a new lever system to prevent them from coming loose inadvertently plus the underside of the cheek pads feature reflective panels to help riders be seen in low light conditions.

The Aventuro Carbon PRO is action camera friendly with mounting locations on both the top and sides of the helmet. The lid is also Intercom system ready, with speaker cavities, wire routing channels, and a space to clamp the unit.

The helmet is both DOT and ECE 22.06 certified and features a Double-D ring closure for a secure fit and maximum safety. A pin-lock visor insert is also included to reduce fogging of the shield for maximum visibility when riding in wet environments. The helmet’s head shape is intermediate oval and there is an included Ergo Padding System that helps customize the fit to the unique shape of your head.

Each helmet is crafted to exacting standards using X-PRO Carbon Fiber which provides uniform strength with its precise fiber distribution. Touratech has not posted official weights for the new lid yet but the PRO’s predecessor tipped the scale at a featherly 1430g in a Medium so we hope those specs are similar.

The new Aventuro Carbon PRO is available in new graphic versions with carbon-fiber reveals in the design and in a painted black or painted white style. Sizes range from XS to 3X with an MSRP starting at $699. For more information go to touratech-usa.com.
