Watch: Moto Morini X-Cape 650 Walkthru and First Ride Impressions
Is this the best value in town for a twin-powered Adventure Bike?
These days we are spoiled by choice with so many adventure bikes to choose from in the mid-sized category. One model we tested recently that stood out as a great value for an entry-level machine, with a surprising number of premium features, was the Moto Morini X-Cape 650.,
The budget-friendly adventurer produces 60 HP from its 649cc parallel-twin and it comes equipped with Brembo brakes, Bosch electronics, full-adjustable 50mm Marzocchi forks, 7″ color TFT with Bluetooth connectivity, tubeless spoked 19″/17″ wheels, adjustable ergos, 6-speed transmission, and more — all for a price in the $7k range. A 25,900-mile valve adjustment interval, along with a 3-year unlimited mileage warranty make it easy to live with too.

We give a full rundown of the equipment and features the X-Cape 650 offers during a weekend of testing both on and off-road in the San Bernardino Mountains. We also share our initial impressions, including what we think are some of the bike’s top hits and misses.

It’s worth mentioning the X-Cape 650 will soon be replaced by the X-Cape 700 which offers more power and more equipment for the same MSRP. However, Moto Morini still has 2024 and even 2023 X-Cape 650s in stock at close out prices to make room for the new model. At the time of publishing you can pick up a ‘23 for $6,499.
