Forma Launches New ADV Tourer Boots
A lightweight touring boot that encourages you to explore the unbeaten path.
Forma Boots are known worldwide for their comfort and quality. The Italian company provides top-level protection for some of the world’s most talented professional racers and are certified to the highest safety standards. For 2017, Forma has introduced a new waterproof, breathable boot to their adventure touring line called the “ADV Tourer.” The boot is designed for the road-oriented touring rider that occasionally ventures down the unbeaten path.
The ADV Tourer boots put a focus on comfort and convenience but with enough protection for casual dual sport riding. Made with a full-grain leather and suede outer, TPU plastic protectors at the shin and ankle, and a rugged anti-slip rubber sole with EVA inserts to reduce vibration. These mid-height ADV boots feature a single buckle and top Velcro closure, making them easy to get in and out of. A durable sole design cannot be crushed from the sides, and Forma claims it can absorb an impact better than MX boots on hard paved surfaces.
On the inside of the boots, there is a waterproof and breathable drytex membrane liner with sealed seams. The insole uses memory foam material to ensure greater comfort and has an anti-bacterial treatment. In addition, the boots feature Forma’s APS (Air Pump System) footbed that promotes greater ventilation. Molded plastic and polymer pads are inserted in the toe cap and ankles.
