Benelli Unveils New TRK 800 Adventure Bike at EICMA

The TRK adventure bike line-up gets expanded with a new flagship model.

Benelli has just added a bigger brother to the TRK family with the unveiling of the TRK 800 at EICMA. The new flagship adventure bike joins the manufacturer’s best-seller, the TRK 502 X, offering riders a new travel machine with a modern and refined style, powered by a 754cc powerplant.

The new TRK 800 was born in the Benelli Style Center and developed by the R&D department of the House of the Leoncino in Pesaro, where the headquarters and the heart of the company are located. Keeping the family feeling of the TRK range, the new model shares styling elements such as the front end and the front mudguard and the double-arched headlights (full LED with DRL).

The 754cc twin-cylinder, four-stroke engine is liquid cooled and is the same as the one mounted on the Leoncino 800, with 76.2 hp (56 kW) at 8500 rpm and a torque of 67 Nm (49.4 ft-lbs) at 6500 rpm. It features double overhead camshafts with 4 valves per cylinder and 43 mm diameter dual throttle bodies. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a torque-assisted wet slipper clutch.

The chassis is based on a tubular trellis frame with a high-strength steel plate, designed to offer the rider better handling and comfort, even on long journeys. According to Benelli, the bike’s ergonomics have been carefully considered down to the smallest detail, to easily accommodate both rider and passenger even with side and top cases, ensuring a comfortable, intuitive riding position.

The TRK 800 sits on a Marzocchi upside-down fork with 50 mm legs – adjustable in rebound, compression and spring preload – and 6.7 inches (170 mm) of travel. On the back the new bike sports an aluminium swinging arm with central monoshock adjustable for preload and rebound damping with 6.7 inches (171mm) of wheel travel.

Stopping power is supplied by a Brembo braking system featuring a double 320 mm semi-floating disc on the front with four-piston calipers, and a 260 mm disc on the back with a single-piston calliper. The 19” front and 17” rear aluminium alloy rims respectively mount 110/80-19 and 150/70-17 tires. 

For wind protection, the TRK 800 comes with a large adjustable fairing and hand guards. Other  amenities riders will appreciate include a slim, spacious seat, sturdy passenger grab handles and a center stand. The new TRK also features an easy-to-use, intuitive dashboard, equipped with a high-resolution 7’’ color-TFT display. Fuel tank capacity is also generous at 5.5 gallons (21 litres).

The TRK 800 will be available at all Benelli dealers starting from the second half of 2022. The price is yet to be determined.

Typo on the torque data. 67 nm is 49.4 lb-ft.
