Aprilia Grabs Historic Win At Hellas Rally On Tuareg 660
The Italian brand’s rally legacy grows as the multi-cylinder model conquers Greece.

The Aprilia Tuareg Racing Team is on fire! After snatching overall wins at the last two Africa Eco Race events on the Tuareg 660, the Italian brand is now adding another notch to their belt with a historic victory at the 2025 Hellas Rally in Greece. With Jacopo Cerutti at the helm, the Tuareg didn’t just rule the M5 class— it conquered the entire field, outpacing even single-cylinder race bikes and winning the whole rally.

The 2025 edition of the Greek rally saw around 200 competitors take on over 1,200 km across six punishing stages, after one stage was cancelled due to bad weather. Cerutti delivered a consistent and commanding performance, winning his class in every stage and quickly climbing the overall rankings. Crossing the finish line with a total race time of 19 hours and 57 minutes, the Italian rider ended the rally over 16 minutes ahead of Triumph’s Julien Jagu, who was on the brand’s all-new 450 Dirtbike.

Further solidifying their performance at the Hellas Rally the Aprilia Tuareg team was also able to lock in a clean sweep of the M5 multi-cylinder podium, with Cerutti’s teammates, Marco Menichini and Francesco Montanari, snagging second and third place in the class and third and fifth overall, respectively. This is the second consecutive year that Aprilia’s Tuareg Rally has led the multi-cylinder class at the event, but this time, the team returned to also secure Aprilia’s first overall victory in Greece.

Cerutti said of the results: “It’s a pity the unstable weather spoiled some of the stages a bit. In the end, we finished first, third, and fifth overall, all three in the top class positions, so I’m very happy and satisfied. Now we’re heading back to Italy to keep preparing for the Motorally.”

Just like last year, the racing Tuaregs were fine-tuned to conquer the desert in collaboration with the Guareschi Brothers’ GCorse. While these competition bikes undergo extensive modifications, the insights gained from their testing have led to the development of the Tuareg 660 Rally production bike—a specialized variant featuring heavy-duty spoked wheels with Ergal narrow rims, a dedicated SC Project exhaust system, upgraded suspension, reduced weight, a refined engine map, and more. “The goal was to make it as similar as possible to the bike with which we won the Africa Eco Race and I can say we succeeded,” said Cerutti.
