Ducati Unveils 1100 Tribute Pro and Urban Motard Scrambler Models

The Scrambler family gets two new models for 2022.

Published on 10.14.2021

Ducati’s Scrambler family just got bigger today with the introduction of the seventies-inspired 1100 Tribute PRO and the city-dweller Urban Motard. Announced during the company’s World Premiere web series, the two new models each round off different sub-categories within the Scrambler line.

First up is the Scrambler 1100 Tribute PRO created to pay homage to the history of the air-cooled twin-cylinder engine, first introduced on a Ducati in 1971. Designed with enthusiasts of modern-classic motorcycles in mind, the bike is inspired by iconic Ducati elements of the 1970s, such as the special “Giallo Ocra” livery and the Ducati logo of the time designed by Giugiaro. Other distinctive stylistic details are represented by the circular rear-view mirrors and the brown seat with dedicated stitching.

According to the Italian manufacturer, this tribute model is slotted within the range of “the most performing bikes of Ducati’s Scrambler family” and has the characteristics of the Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO platform. It features a 1,079 cc engine that pumps out a claimed 86 ponies of power and 66.5 ft lbs of torque all rolling on 18-inch black spoked wheels and 5.9 inches of travel front and rear. The tribute model also comes standard with three Riding Modes, each associated with different Power Modes and various levels of Ducati Traction Control (DTC).

The second new Scrambler model for 2022 extends Ducati’s 800 range. Dubbed the Urban Motard, it is being introduced by the Italian manufacturer as a bike created “to experience the city environment” and designed “for all those looking for an easy, fun and sporty motorcycle.”

Stuffed inside the trellis frame is a 803 cc L-twin engine with desmodromic distribution, which delivers 73 hp of power at 8,250 rpm and 48.5 ft lbs of torque at 5,750 rpm. It features 17 inch spoked wheels, 5.9 inches of travel, a high front mudguard, a 31.7”-high flat seat, and side number plates. New livery completes the look with Star White Silk white and Ducati GP ’19 Red graphics, inspired by the world of street art and metropolitan graffiti.

Both the 1100 Tribute Pro and Urban Motard come with cornering ABS and are also designed for the Ducati Multimedia System (DMS), which enables a smartphone to be connected to the bike via Bluetooth, while the USB socket positioned under the seat is standard.

The Ducati Scrambler 1100 Tribute PRO will be available in U.S. and Canadian dealerships starting from March 2022 with a starting MSRP of $13,995 USD and $16,495 CAD. How is the Urban Motard different than the Urban Enduro that was one of the originals? They look to share almost the exact same styling cues, except paint color.

Urban Motard should be built on the Desert Sled frame in my opinion… :/
