Falco Announces All-New Waterproof ‘Durant’ ADV Touring Boot
Italian boot maker adds ADV Boot to its lineup with D30 pads & Goodyear sole.

Italian boot maker Falco is introducing an all-new adventure touring boot to its 2021 collection — the Durant. The new heavy-duty boot is made of full-grain oil-treated leather and incorporates a High-Tex waterproof membrane which the Italian brand states makes them also more durable. Trail protection comes in the form of a hard-shell PU molded shin plate, while the ankle cups are made with D3O molecular armor, along with a reinforced heel and toe-box.

Boot closures include a combination of two adjustable alu-buckles and a velcro top, for a more durable and convenient design. At its base, a Goodyear heavy-duty rubber sole helps give the boot a solid, slip-resistant foundation, while Falco states vibration-absorbing, orthopedic footbeds enhance comfort during longer journeys, whether on-road or off-road.
The new Durant is CE-certified to EN13634: 2017 standards, which means it meets a number of safety requirements such as the height of the upper and the type of seam construction. There are also tests it must pass for the integrity of the boot as a whole, including measurements for its bond strength and rigidity.

I had the previous generation version for several years and I loved them but the waterproofing wasn’t 100%. The sizing on the previous version was a bit off as well but after they break in, they are really nice “light” adv boots.
Did the boots run large or small?
