Husqvarna Rolls Out New 4-Year Warranty For Certain Models
Free extended warranty seeks to restore consumer confidence in LC8c machines.

It’s no secret that Pierer Mobility has been going through tough times. From the recent camshaft controversy of its KTM and Husqvarna LC8c models to trying to pull back from the brink of bankruptcy, the big European motorcycle manufacturer has been facing immense pressure to regain its reputation and stabilize its finances.
In an attempt to strengthen consumer confidence, the company recently introduced an extended four-year warranty for KTM models using LC8c engines, an offer that is now also being expanded to include Husqvarna machines.

Called the Premium Manufacturer’s Warranty, the extended coverage applies to all new unregistered 2023 or newer model year machines that are powered by the LC8c engine platform. Models covered include the Norden 901, Norden 901 Expedition, Svartpilen 801, and Vitpilen 801, but Husqvarna does state only the ones purchased from December 13, 2024 onwards qualify for the extension.
The new Premium Warranty is free, applies worldwide, is activated by the first service, and is valid from the “take into use” date for a maximum of four years. And yes, Husqvarna says the warranty stays with the motorcycle and is fully transferable so riders buying a used Husky can take advantage of the same policy.

To maintain the warranty for four years, the motorcycle must be serviced at an authorized Husqvarna Mobility dealership in line with the service schedule of each model. In fact, the company emphasizes that “adhering to the service schedule outlined in the owner’s manual is essential for maintaining all types of warranties – standard and premium.”

The news comes as KTM AG resumes production at its Austrian facility in mid-March, after a complete freeze was in effect while the company tried reducing inventories to an economically sustainable level. To further facilitate the move of stagnant product, the Austrian brand is enticing riders with dealer discounts and incentives as it continues its efforts to repair its reputation for reliability.
