KTM Announces Special-Edition 500 EXC-F Six Days Model for 2024
The orange brand's big dual-sport machine gets the Six Days treatment.
It’s that time of year again when KTM announces the new higher-spec Six Days Special Edition of the 500 EXC-F. The upgraded model sets itself apart with an extended list of top-of-the-line components, all specially designed and built for the rigors of the race.

For the 2024 year model, the Special Edition machine gets the upgrades the new standard model received (see full details here), benefiting from 95% new components, according to KTM. Changes include a new frame and subframe, firmer settings on the WP XPLOR forks and rear shock to improve its high-speed performance as well as an upgraded braking system with more reliable stopping power. This is delivered through a floating front brake disc and solid rear disc designed to minimize brake fade and allow for harder braking. For additional strength and reliability, the rear brake pedal is secured with safety wire.

For 2024 the engine has been designed with mass centralization in mind, tilting the engine 2° backwards and repositioning the sprocket 3mm lower. This results in an improved center of gravity, better handling and anti-squat behavior. To keep the ride going, a one-piece fuel pump and filter improve fuel supply allowing the 8.5-liter tank to be emptied further at the low fuel level.

The fresh model also receives new, easy-to-use switchgear. On the right side of the handle bar, you’ll find a new start/stop switch, and on the left, the new map select switch also allows riders to activate Traction Control and the Quickshifter function on the go. The package is completed with the new year model sporting the Argentinian flag for only the second time in the collaboration’s long history.
