Mobile GPS App REVER Launches LiveRIDE Location Sharing Features

Keep friends & family informed during rides with REVER's new LiveRIDE suite.

Published on 07.29.2019

REVER – the motorcycle ride planning, GPS navigation and tracking app – continues to innovate and add more useful features since its introduction in 2016. Now the company has announced the launch of LiveRIDE, a suite of safety features designed to keep friends and family informed of your whereabouts as you ride while using the REVER app.

There are multiple ways for REVER users to inform family and friends of their real-time location while riding:

Show Friends on Map: Allows users that have enabled “LiveRIDE Friends” from the main map menu to see each other in real time via user avatars. * (This feature is only available on iOS devices)

Share a Link: Lets users to share a link that allows family and friends to follow you on a map from their mobile device, or desktop computer, in real time.

Send Safety SMS: Send one or more contacts an SMS when you start and finish a ride, including a link sharing your location.

Ride with REVER's LiveRIDE suite of safety features.
Choose how you want to share your location during rides with three different options.

Free users are able to utilize the ‘Show Friends on Map’ feature, while only PRO users have access to ‘Share a Link’ and ‘Send Safety SMS’ notifications.

“We are always listening to user feedback, and safety-related features like the ones incorporated into LiveRIDE have been a popular request,” says Justin Bradshaw, REVER’s co-founder and president. “Our users are a very active and adventurous group, logging millions of miles all over the world. LiveRIDE will hopefully give family and friends peace of mind, by allowing them to stay informed with the user’s location while riding.”

Now with LiveRIde, you can let your family and friends be a part of your journey and give them peace of mind knowing your whereabouts during your ride. The REVER App is available for free on both iOS and Android mobile platforms. For more details or to download the app, go to
