Trail Tech Launches New Voyager Pro4 Off-Road GPS System
Built with a larger, brighter touchscreen, faster performance, and more tech.
Trail Tech has released their new Voyager Pro4, an update to its off‑road GPS system built for riders who need mapping and group‑ride awareness far from cell service. The new rugged unit brings a brighter, larger touchscreen, faster hardware, expanded Buddy Tracking features, and broader compatibility with mixed‑machine groups — including Polaris Ride Command Group Ride vehicles.
For motorcycle applications, Trail Tech is offering the Voyager Pro4 MOTO Kit, giving dirt bikes, dual‑sports, and adventure motorcycles a dedicated way onto shared group‑ride maps. The kit packages the VP4 head unit with a plastic quick‑release dock, AMPS handlebar mount, external V2V antenna, 48‑inch power lead, 70‑inch tach sensor, and Trail Tech’s universal temperature sensor for a compact, motorcycle‑specific installation.
Buddy Tracking remains central to the platform, using sub‑GHz radio and GPS to create a private rider‑to‑rider network for up to 20 riders without cell service. Riders appear on the map with name and location, and the Pro4 includes features like Buddy Tails which shows a breadcrumb trail of each rider’s recent movements, and Navigate to Buddy which guides you directly to a selected rider’s current position. Typical range is 0.5–1.5 miles, depending on terrain and line of sight, and groups can include Polaris Ride Command vehicles.

The Pro4’s 4.3‑inch, 1000‑nit display consolidates mapping, vehicle data, ride logging, tach and temperature readings into a single IP67‑rated unit designed to operate from –10 to 45°C. The new unit adds multi‑GNSS support (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou) for improved positioning accuracy, advanced offline map compatibility including GeoPDF and Raster MBTiles, and offers onboard storage to 32 GB with microSD support up to 64 GB. Bluetooth connectivity also moves to Bluetooth 5.1 for improved phone and headset pairing. The unit measures 144 × 90 × 47 mm and weighs 410 g.
The Voyager Pro4 will set you back $799.95 USD and is available now through the TrailTech site.
