Suzuki Wants You To Test Ride The New DR-Z4S Dual Sport
A unique opportunity to experience the next-gen model before it hits dealerships.

If you are curious about Suzuki’s all-new DR-Z4S, this is your chance to be among the first to ride the revamped dual sport model through the brand’s exclusive “Take It to the Streets’ demo tour.
Kicking off in April, Suzuki’s exclusive demo event series will stop at select dealerships across the country, allowing you to experience the DR-Z4S first-hand, before its official arrival this Spring. As an added perk, Suzuki staff will be on hand to answer questions about the fresh machine and walk you through all its features.

The new 2025 Suzuki DR-Z4S dual sport replaces the iconic DR-Z400S first introduced in 2000, offering significant updates to the dated platform. Changes include a redesigned 398cc powerplant with fuel injection, a Ride-by-Wire Electronic Throttle System, ride modes, traction control, switchable ABS, new suspension, a revised fuel tank, frame, and ergos. Lights and instrumentation are also updated.
The updates to the DR-Z platform are significant, but they come with a bump in price, increasing from last year’s $7,199 to $8,999. Whether you are a current DR-Z owner or just looking for a competent dual sport, taking advantage of one of these test rides might help you decide if the price tag aligns with your expectations.

As of this writing there are eight stops scheduled in Pennsylvania, Oregon, West Virginia, Colorado, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Texas and Michigan but Suzuki says new dates and locations are being added weekly. Accordingly, the manufacturer notes there will be more opportunities beyond April as the demo tour continues over the next few months.

None shown for CA. Wow, 10% of the US population and probably 15% m/c market.
Call Fremont Suzuki in Fremont. (Southeast SF Bay Area)
I saw California date in Fremont CA, may 3rd at Fremont Suzuki.
‘ BUT does it Haul Ass ? Just a question. Old CR owners are mad at everyone including the infallible Honda. Kinda, lol ‘
Old people always resist change lol
No thanks the ktm 390 is a way better deal.
Love Suzuki, but $9k for 400. They will follow in KTM’s demise. KTM is bringing Indian made 400’s we a decent setup for $5700.00. Id have a hard time passing up the KTM for the Suzuki. Even for the love of Yellow.
Exactly, the KTM390 enduro will be a far better buy. Each will have advantages over the other in particular areas but the $3k+ price advantage is huge.
9K!? That’s Nintendo Switch 2 levels of crazy. Does it still have the 5 speed gear box? Personally, I’d rather have thr 6 speed gear box like the DR350SE and just use a carburetor instead of fuel injection.
Fuel injection, abs, and the other changes are there to enable it to be sold worldwide instead of just a few markets. Why they didn’t add a 6 speed, or at least widen the ratio spread of the 5 speed is unfathomable.
Let’s see is fuel injection and throttle by wire something you want to get stick on the trail with, and all these features so it can be sold world wide, hardly they have to stay within certain fuel mileage standards and I’m willing to bet you can get far more efficient numbers with far less tech features. History already proves this.
I have been riding fuel injected and throttle by wire for 15 years. You’re far more likely to suffer from a broken throttle cable and will be just as stuck. FI has been trouble free as well. Would you suggest going back to lever actuated drum brakes on your car?
Should be way cheaper. I’d rather pay a little more for twice the Nike in a Tenere 700.
Just paid 9300 for a new 24 701 Enduro… Suzuki has gone crazy they didn’t even add a 6th gear to this thing… 9K lol
Anything for Memphis Tn? Enduros are taking off down here!!
Motonation in Memphis will do events like this. Add them if possible
I’m interested in these bikes, but I’m not excited about the price. I’ll be waiting a year or two before even thinking about one of these, by then Suzuki may realize their pricing is almost $1k too high. I’d take this over any KTM, I’ve had enough euro unreliability and high maintenance for one lifetime.
You have to be a real die hard Japanese fan boy to pay $9k for this year 2000 parts bike rather than getting a KTM 390 enduro R for like $5500. They didn’t even bother to give it 6 gears. That’s a joke. I don’t need to test ride it to know there are MUCH better options out there. I would rather buy a Chinese Kove. At least they are trying to put out a serious product for $9k.
