Following their unveiling of an accessorized R 1300 GS at last year’s EICMA, SW-Motech is moving ahead with the release of a wide range of specialized parts for BMW’s next-gen adventure machine. The brand says the new products are hitting US warehouse shelves already and include a variety of offerings such as luggage, crash protection, ergonomic accessories, and lighting solutions.

Engine Guard

To protect the R 1300 GS’s boxer engine from damage, SW-Motech has developed a skidplate made of a 4 millimeter-thick aluminum alloy sheet. This protective part features frame mounting points for additional stability and easy installation without any modifications to the motorcycle. (MSRP $365)

Engine Guard Extension

The skidplate extension protects the front area of ​​the engine block from stone chips. The protector is made of brushed and powder-coated aluminum, and must be mounted together with the SW-MOTECH engine guard. (MSRP $70)

Crash Bars

Based on the new lines of the R 1300 GS, these crash bars not only promise a precise fit but also optimal cornering clearance. The crash bars are made of rugged tubular steel with a weather- and corrosion-resistant powder coating in black plus the surface finish is carried out at the brand’s facility in the Czech Republic. Bike-specific mounting systems enable reliable, easy installation onto the bike’s original attachment points. (MSRP $366)

Cylinder Guard

Designed to fit seamlessly into the design of the BMW and protect the boxer cover against damage from rocks and falls. With just three screws per side, the protector is easily mounted onto existing attachment points. The guard consists of a laser-cut aluminum mounting bracket and a CNC-milled aluminum slider pad. It also has a rubber shock-absorber on the inside. (MSRP $300)

Upper crash bars

These guards are mounted as an addition to the SW-MOTECH crash bars. Made from black powder-coated steel, the upper crash bars mainly protect the fairing of the motorcycle and radiator. Installation is simple consisting of screw-on mounting on the bike’s original attachment points. (MSRP $325)

EVO Footrest Kit

Designed to improve riding comfort, this kit consists of rotating elements with firmly interlocking teeth offering you 36 options for positioning. The versatile footrest can be adjusted so that it’s lower or moved forwards or backwards as well as adjusted in terms of its angle to suit your individual needs. Made from electropolished, corrosion-resistant cast stainless steel, the kit can be easily installed on the bike’s original footrest mount. (MSRP $201)

EVO Fog Light Kit

This kit includes a set of EVO fog lights and all the parts required to easily and safely install them on the BMW R 1300 GS. The bike-specific headlight brackets are secured to the original attachment points and enable optimal positioning of the headlight. The particularly wide light scatter of the EVO fog lights ensures that you can “see and be seen” in fog or in poor weather. The EVO fog lights are water- and dustproof in accordance with safety class IP69. Powerful LEDs provide the best view, while wear-resistant housings ensure long life. (MSRP $425)

Brake Pedal Extension

Manufactured from high-strength milled aluminum to fit the original brake pedal on the BMW R 1300 GS. The extension features a black anodized surface and a stainless steel step plate that can be adjusted in two stages of 22 or 27 millimeters.

Ideal for off-roading, it enhances the original brake arm tread making it possible for the contact surface to be both broader and higher providing better safety and more control over the rear brake. Thanks to the raised contact surface, your foot is angled more sharply, so it can reach and control the brake arm more easily, even when standing.

In addition to the raised surface, the extension for the brake pedal features a ridged surface, so it offers improved grip when the arm surface is dirty or wet. (MSRP $120)

Side Stand Foot Extension

This durable foot extension has a large contact surface for enhanced stability, even on uneven ground and soft soil. Moreover, the profiled top of the foot extension makes it easy to fold out the stand – even with heavy boots. The anodized aluminum alloy side stand and stainless steel mounting bracket are CNC-milled plus the extension can be easily mounted onto the original side stand using three screws. (MSRP $70)

DUSC WP Luggage 

The brand-new waterproof DUSC hard case features panels made from robust 3D-textured ABS material and then wrapped in a sturdy aluminum perimeter frame. According to SW-Motech, the result is a tough, dimensionally stable and lightweight case. Thanks to the double security feature, the case opening and carrier connection can be closed with just one movement. 

With this complete system you get two rugged DUSC hard cases, two removable PRO side carriers, mounting kit and a lock set that can be operated with just one key. The bike-specific carriers and size of the cases are designed to perfectly match the shape of the tail as well as the motorcycle’s exhaust system. They can also be used interchangeably as a side case or top case. Two capacity options are offered: 33 L or 41 L per case. (MSRP $1,300)

SysBag WP Luggage

Includes PRO side carriers and SysBag WP L bags to get the BMW R 1300 GS ready for its next motorcycle adventure. According to SW-Motech, all three sizes (S, M and L) are completely waterproof and extremely robust. They have a roll-top closure and an overlapping lid plus the inner pocket is removable, and two freely positionable dividers with velcro make it easy to divide up the luggage. The matching adapter plates for attaching the bags to the respective carriers are included in delivery. (MSRP $1,150)

Tank Bag Options

A total of four models from the PRO series fit the new GS tank, including the PRO GS Tank Bag with up to 20 liters of usable storage. To play it safe in the worst weather, 2024 GS riders can also choose between three waterproof “WP” tank bag models. This includes the brand-new PRO Micro WP, which offers a more discreet design complete with MOLLE and a sturdy lid offering convenient access via a magnetic hinged closure. The PRO Micro WP is attached to the PRO tank ring with its magnetic guide on the tank. (MSRP starts at $150)

EVO High beam kit

This kit provides optimal lighting for the rider’s view to help increase safety during on- or off-road riding. Development is focused on meeting the strictest quality standards while also maintaining a compact shape: the EVO high beams are resistant to water and dust, with an IP69 class rating. Powerful LEDs provide the best view, while wear-resistant housings ensure long life. (MSRP $425)

GPS mount for cockpit

This powder-coated steel plate mount ensures the stable attachment of the GPS mount on original attachment points in the cockpit. The pivotable holder can be removed in an instant and its universal drill-hole pattern allows the attachment of many current models of GPS devices such as the Navi Case Pro device cases and smartphone hardcases from SW-MOTECH. Its integrated shock absorption is designed to help protect your device against vibrations as well. (MSRP $75)

Adventure-Rack

This bike-specific attachment guarantees the best fit and easy mounting on the R 1300 GS’s original attachment points. Offering a large contact surface, the rack features numerous, large lashing eyes that provide a secure hold for tail bags.
