Trail Tech Launches Portable Motorcycle Stand For Trailside Repairs

A stowable, lightweight bike prop for on-the-go fixes and easier maintenance.

Published on 04.30.2025

Off-road motorcycle accessories manufacturer Trail Tech expands its product lineup with the introduction of a new portable tool designed for off-road adventures. Weighing only 10 ounces and packing down to just 10 inches long, the Trail Stand is designed to assist riders with tire, chain, and brake maintenance on the go — whether wrenching in the garage or fixing a flat on a muddy trail.

How It Works

The Trail Stand is a simple and versatile tool designed to prop up your bike with ease. When needed, riders can simply insert the top of the stand under the swingarm, frame, or other suitable lift point opposite the kickstand. Adjusting the length elevates either the front or rear tire off the ground, making maintenance or repairs out on the trail more convenient. Moreover, Trail Tech has incorporated pivoting, silicone-covered feet for secure contact with both the bike and the ground, even on uneven surfaces. A Velcro strap is also provided to stabilize the front brake lever for added stability during use.

No Bulky Center Stand

For off-road riders looking to avoid the weight and bulk of a center stand, The Trail Stand provides a valid alternative. Center stands can add upwards of 15 pounds to a motorcycle — weight that riders have to carry on every ride. In contrast, The Trail Stand is compact, portable, and packs down small enough that it can be stowed in a backpack or tool roll. The telescopic design allows it to be extended up to 19 inches when in use, making it adaptable to various bike sizes and maintenance tasks. Built from durable 6061 aluminum tubing, the tool’s pivoting feet ensure a stable base on rocky or sloped terrain. The stand also comes with a mesh zipper carry bag for easy packing and transport.

Top Features

  • Lightweight and Compact Design: A mere 10 ounces, fitting easily into luggage.
  • Versatile Application: Suitable for dirt bikes, dual-sports, and adventure bikes.
  • Safety Features: Includes a Velcro strap to secure the brake lever during maintenance.
  • Lifetime Warranty: Covered by Trail Tech’s ‘Life of the Bike’ warranty against manufacturing defects for the original purchaser.

This lightweight stand keeps things straightforward with pivoting feet for reliable grip, avoiding metal hooks seen in other designs that can be less secure and tricky to find a mounting point. It also looks to be quite sturdy for heavier machines with the use of 6061 aluminum tubing.

The Trail Stand is available now at trailtech.net and through Trail Tech dealers nationwide with an MSRP of $79.95.

Anyone else see a potential problem with raising the front tire with this design? Having used similar stands, I need to move the stand farther forward to get the front wheel off the ground. There is no media from trail tech that I can find that shows the front tire lifted with this product. The one pic shows the stand under the engine casing, which is too far back, in my experience, to facilitate lifting the front end. Maybe under the base of the skid? Curious if the stand has enough bite to do that.

the front tyre lifts when you lean the bike towards the side stand and then you lock it from the front with a stick. It works with a piece of wood, I don’t see why it would not work with an extendable pice of metal with specific rubber on both ends to avoid the risk of slipping.

it’s long enough.
