The 2022 Ultimate Adventure Giveaway has come to an end and a winner has been selected! Thank you to everyone who participated. We’d like to congratulate our winner, Ted Clough of Canton, GA. When he received the winner notification email, Ted’s first thought was that it was some type of scam. But after carefully scrutinizing the message he decided to give us a call to confirm it was in fact actually true. On the phone with us, Ted couldn’t believe his luck and joked that he should make a trip out to Vegas immediately.

Ted is a former US Navy and retired airline pilot who’s been riding motorcycles for 50 years. And thanks to his job as a pilot, he’s been fortunate enough to explore some pretty cool places on a motorcycle like Spain, Italy, France, Chile, and New Zealand. He’s owned around 30 different bikes in his life and currently has a Scrambler 1200 XE, an Aprilia Tuareg 660, and an Indian FTR1200S in his garage. In his retirement, Ted continues to ride frequently, both on and off-road, and has been dreaming of doing a trip to Iceland on a small dual sport like a KTM 500 EXC or DR-Z.

As someone who’s always looking for ways to improve his off-road skills, Ted is excited about the RawHyde Training and the opportunity to put his new techniques to the test in the rugged Mojave desert during the Mojave Magic tour. “I have read writeups about their program, and everyone has had nothing but great things to say about it,” says Ted. He’s also excited about giving the REV’IT! Defender 3 Gore-Tex Adventure Suit a try riding in the often wet Northern Georgia. “I already have one of REV’IT!’s lightweight jackets, and it is great stuff.” As someone who goes through a lot of tires, Ted is eager to try out the long-lasting Dunlop Trailmax Mission Adventure Tires as well the Rabaconda home tire changer, both of which he’d been considering purchasing. And Ted mentioned the awesome Mosko Moto Reckless 80L luggage system will be perfect for treks on his Tuareg.
