Tri-Fold Hat Folds Down Flat and Fits in Your Pocket

A durable cap you can store in a front pocket for easy access during rides.

Published on 08.27.2015

If you have been out riding this summer you know having a hat is essential to fend off the hot sun. It definitely comes in handy when you need to stop for a repair and there’s no shade to be found. Even more so, if your head is smooth on top like mine is.

A lot of riders take out a hat at every stop when the helmet comes off but hats can easily get crushed in your luggage during your travels and always seem to get lost in your gear somewhere. Moto-Skiveez, the makers of motorcycle-specific padded shorts, have got a solution for conveniently carrying a cap while you ride with their unique Tri-Fold Hat design.

The Tri-Fold Hat is made of lightweight moisture-wicking material with breathable mesh on the sides to keep your head cool on a hot summer day.

The Tri-Fold Hat has a brim that folds into thirds, which allows you to convert it into a small flat package that fits in your palm. Storing it in your front jacket pocket or thigh pocket ensures it’s always easy to find and you hardly notice it’s there because it’s so light.

A soft and comfortable liner gives it a cozy feel. It’s also made with high-quality stitching with the strength to withstand the rigors of an outdoor lifestyle. The use of synthetic fabric helps to wick moisture away and breathable side mesh keeps your dome well vented on a hot day. The Tri-Fold Hat uses a Velcro adjustment on the back, so it’s one-size-fits all and the slightly stretchy material makes it easy to find a comfortable fit.

Unlike a structured cap, the Tri-Fold hat won’t get crushed or misshaped when you stash it away during your rides. The bill is designed to only fold inward and holds a nice curved shape when you wear it, while the cap contours to the top of your head with a low-slung appearance. The Tri-Fold comes in only one color scheme — Black and Gray — but that also gives it a clean understated look that matches well with most riding suits.

After using the Moto-Skiveez Tri-Fold hat for about six months now, it goes everywhere I ride stored permanently in my thigh pocket for easy access anytime I stop for a break. It’s been hand washed several times after long-dirty rides and the synthetic material dries out quickly in the air. The bill can also be completely soaked in water without loosing its rigidity. After months of hard use, the Tri-Fold still looks new.

With a price tag of just $19.95, it’s a great deal too. But we’ll let you in on a little secret. You can get the Tri-Fold Hat for free when you purchase a pair of Moto-Skiveez padded shorts! Just enter the coupon code “ADV” at checkout and it will remove the price of the hat from your total. Now that’s a great deal!
