5 Stories of Adventure in the Land of the Lemurs
Tales of exotic wildlife and unique cultural experiences touring Madagascar.
2. Mapless in Madagascar
Tiffany Coates of the UK is one of the most well traveled female adventure riders in the world. To date, she has covered more than 200,000 miles across several continents. For the last 7 months she’s been touring Madagascar solo on a Suzuki DR350. Currently, she is blogging her trip sending back exciting photos and reports of her experiences in Madagascar.
During part of her tour, she gives her librarian sister a taste of the Adventure Biking lifestyle as they ride 2-up across the country. On one occasion, Tiffany gets a little too close to the wildlife when she receives a nasty bite from a poisonous centipede (about 4-5 inches long) in her sleep. Tiffany’s travels have taken her to many different areas around the island and her stories are an excellent guide for anyone interested in visiting Madagascar.
Tiffany stories also show us how to get fully immersed in the culture where you travel. She is a true ambassador for the Adventure Riding Community wherever she visits. You can check out the full story on Tiffany’s Blog.

Thanks for promoting my video and sharing the adventure with the world. Madagascar is one of the most fascinating countries I have had the privilege to ride through.
Cheers,
