‘Riders Share’ Adds Peer-to-Peer Motorcycle Rentals for Off-Road Use
COVID-fueled demand for off-road bikes spurs Riders Share to expand service.

Peer-to-peer motorcycle sharing marketplace, Riders Share, has announced the expansion of their services to include dual sport and adventure motorcycle rentals for off-road use. Using the concept pioneered by Airbnb, this motorcycle rental service lets licensed riders search locations throughout the country for bikes offered up for rent by their owners.
Riders Share says they decided to add the adventure category to the site after receiving many requests from customers. Following the COVID spike in off-roading, many dealers and regional outfitters simply don’t have the inventory to be able to offer rental services. Moreover, peer-to-peer rentals allow a much wider variety of motorcycles at more affordable price points. On average, Riders Share states they are 50% less expensive than renting from dealerships and outfitters thanks to its strategic business model, making consumers’ adventure and travel plans much more feasible and reasonable.

“We are really excited to be able to offer adventure and dual-sport motorcycle rentals on the platform. With more than 985 million acres of public land and nearly 500,000 miles of trails in the US, the adventure opportunities are endless for riders when they choose Riders Share to help them explore the country.” said Guillermo Cornejo, CEO of Riders Share and avid motorcyclist.
As far as luggage or extras, the owners are encouraged to list as many details about their bikes as possible, such as if it has luggage or a rack system and which brand so a renter might be able to match it with luggage they already have.

Another way ‘Riders Share’ is used, is to test ride motorcycles locally before buying them. “If you think about it, you need to ride a motorcycle for at least two hours to really know if it is comfortable or if it will hurt your back. So, rentals are perfect for that. A lot of our customers rent three different bikes to figure out what they should buy, “ says Cornejo.
