Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Sales Surge After Strong Global Demand
New sales figures show big gains abroad, with India not included in the tally.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 seems to be hitting its stride, and the latest sales numbers show just how quickly it’s gaining ground globally. According to a new press release from the company, the Sherpa‑powered ADV has posted more than 53% year‑on‑year sales growth outside India, pushing global annual volume past 38,000 units as it enters its second full year on the market.
The brand attributes much of the momentum to the 450’s broader international rollout, noting that the bike has quickly become the best‑selling adventure motorcycle in its class in Brazil. Royal Enfield also highlighted the model’s performance in Europe and the UK, where demand has remained consistently strong since the platform debuted in late 2023. According to them, the global footprint continues to expand as production scales and more markets receive the updated model.

The brand also highlighted several visibility boosts over the past year, including the launch of the Mana Black edition, a darker, more monochromatic take on the Himalayan 450 that adds a stealth‑styled finish to the model’s existing color lineup. Royal Enfield also noted the bike’s adoption by the British Army’s motorcycle display team, along with a class win at the Valleys X‑Treme Lite enduro event. While these elements don’t directly explain the sales jump, they reflect the company’s ongoing effort to position the Himalayan as a versatile, globally relevant adventure platform.
The press release also notes that 2026 marks ten years since the original Himalayan entered production, a milestone the company plans to celebrate at the upcoming ABR Festival, where the 450 will be showcased alongside other models in the lineup. The company did not provide any U.S. sales figures in the announcement, focusing instead on markets where the model’s performance has been particularly strong.
